IIM Bangalore Launches Courses for IT Professionals in Dubai

Considering the demand for management courses in Gulf countries, IIM Bangalore has decided to launch an executive programme in Dubai. IIM Ahmedabad already has an extension centre in Dubai that offers management programmes to interested candidates.

Chief Programme Office of Executive Education Programmes at IIM Bangalore, Mr. Madan Mohan Raj revealed that the demand for management programmes offered at IIM Bangalore has been witnessing a wide demand from the Gulf participants. IIM Bangalore offers sector-specific programmes that complement with the nature of Gulf economies such as entrepreneurship, technology, aviation and media. In all, the management programmes offered by IIM Bangalore fits the industry requirements of Gulf countries.

IIM Bangalore will use its local alumni pool to deliver sessions. Initially, IIM Bangalore will launch its general management course for IT professionals that will enable techies to be groomed for the general management roles. The general management programme for IT professionals is very relevant, as technology has turned out to be strategic and ubiquitous for organizations.

IIM Bangalore is expected to launch the course for IT professions in Dubai in 2019. If the general management course for IT professionals receives a positive response, IIM Bangalore will further launch courses in other domains such as logistics, entrepreneurship, aviation, digital marketing and data analytics.

IIM Bangalore is expected to charge $7,900 for 26-day (spread over seven months) duration general management course for IT professionals. The premier management institute will enroll 30 students in the first batch. The part-time course also includes two campus visits.
