IIM-Bangalore Emerges as Top B-School in Central Asia in Eduniversal Rankings

For the eighth year in succession, Eduniversal, Paris positioned the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore as the top business college in Central Asia and awarded it the 5 Palmes of Excellence honour.

For the eighth year in succession, Eduniversal, Paris positioned the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore as the top business college in Central Asia and awarded it the 5 Palmes of Excellence honour.

Prof. Sourav Mukherji, Dean (programs) of IIMB, got the honour in Perth, Australia, on November 28, 2016, at the ninth Eduniversal World Convention for the 1,000 best B-schools around the world. IIMB's Damodaran received the Dewang Mehta Award.

For stretching out research in economics to IPRs, innovative industry and feasible advancement, Prof A Damodaran, Social Sciences and Economics, IIM Bangalore, was presented the Dewang Mehta Award for being the Best Professor in Economics.

Damodaran, who is also the MHRD Chair Professor on IPRs at IIM Bangalore, composed the Madrid Report which provides an IP course guide to India's 'Make in India' segments.

Recently, Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore has been placed on the 19th position in the rankings given by Financial Times (FT) Masters in Management 2016. The institute achieved this position for its Post Graduate Programme in Management. The institute has improved in the rankings as it bagged 26th rank last year. The major reason for the improvement in the rankings was that the institute had taken unusual steps to promote gender diversity in classrooms.

IIM-B is the only management institute in India which has 28% of women in the two-year management programme. On the other hand, around 25% women are the members of the advisory board. Similarly, the institute has 21% women faculty. It is quite clear that the institute has been taking extensive steps to promote gender diversity.
