The Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore is introducing a certification course on General Management Programme for Young Leaders from the next academic session. The programme is specially designed for working executives. The total number of seats offered by the programme is 75.
The certificate programme will offer ten management courses which include marketing, communication, economics, human resources management, strategic management, organisation management, corporate finance, strategic management and accounting for decision making. It is a weekend programme that is a great choice for young working professionals.
MS Narasimhan, Director of the course, stated that the ten courses will be divided into foundation and functional courses for management. The first five courses will provide knowledge about foundations of management and the rest of them will be functional courses in management.

The duration of the programme is one year (Part-Time) and the fees for the same is Rs 3 lakh.
As per Narasimhan, the course is apt for young professionals who are planning to take managerial responsibilities at a relatively younger age in their careers. Most of these professionals work for startups which requires them to think beyond technical knowledge. This programme will speed up their learning and provide the right skill-set that are essential for running businesses.
