Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore in collaboration with Heartfulness Institute, a spiritual organization conducted a 3-day international conference on ‘elevating consciousness through mediation for global harmony’. There are over 5,000 Heartfulness centres with certified volunteer trainers in 130 countries across the world. They are also known as HeartSpots.
Kamlesh Patel, Heartfulness Institute guide said that through meditation one can elevate their consciousness. Patel also added that consciousness is present everywhere and its even present in the stones in an inert state.
Quoting a French writer, Marcel Proust, Narayanswamy said that the real journey of discovering does not consist of seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes that is the ability to see the same situations from new perspectives each time.
The director of the Heartfulness Education Trust, Elizabeth Denley suggested that by meditating practice, one can elevate consciousness, which will result in the betterment of their own lives.
This conference hosted by Indian Institute of Management (IIM) helped the participants see a new perspective and learn more about the industry and how to be more successful from the business leaders, practitioners, and scholars. This meet arranged by IIM was very interactive.
Papers regarding meditation and states of consciousness along with self-actualization through meditation were presented. The event turned out to be an enlightening for all those who are curious to know about meditation, its techniques and benefits.
