Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta has been hosting prestigious CEMS meet, a global alliance of elite B-schools from across the world. The meet commenced on September 23, 2016, and will be concluded on September 27, 2016. Around 30 students from abroad and five staff members from CEMS head office are participating in the meet.
IIM-C and CEMS had joined hands in the year 2013 to host the prestigious event within a span of about three years. CEMS is an elite club of leading 30 European, Australian, Asian and American schools of business. The club also consists of 70 multinational companies and four NGOs.
Prof. Uttam Kumar, Dean of New Initiatives and External Affairs, IIM-C said that the primary objective of the institute is to provide world class facilities to the students. He mentioned that the institute is privileged to host CEMS students board meet for the span of three years. IIM-C had come up with an alliance with CEMS to become ‘International Centre of Excellence in Management Education’. The collaboration with CEMS for the three years has given a world class exposure to the students.
