About IIM Calcutta
The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, also known as IIMC, was founded as the first national institution for postgraduate studies and administrative research by the Government of India in November 1961. It was established in partnership with the Alfred P. Sloan School of Management (MIT), the Government of West Bengal, the Ford Foundation and Indian industries. Indian Institute of Management Calcutta Eligibility Criteria for 2024
The IIM Kolkata eligibility criteria for different courses at the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta is:
- The eligibility for Doctoral Programme at IIM Calcutta is:
- A first-Class Master’s or Post Graduate Diploma (2 years) in any discipline and a three-year Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks in the aggregate.
- A Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 50% marks or Company Secretary or Cost and Management Accountant with a minimum of 55% marks, with a B.Com degree, or B.Tech / 4-year degree with 6.5 CGPA or equivalent.
- Non-engineering applicants who have undergone Class 12 with a master's degree will be considered eligible to apply for the Doctoral Programme.
- In addition to this, the applicant must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate in either the secondary or the higher secondary examination of a board (or equivalent).
- A reservation of 60% of seats has been done for applicants belonging to the reserved categories (including EWS)
2. The eligibility for the IIMC PGDBA courses is:
- Applicants should have completed either a graduate or a postgraduate programme from a recognised university.
3. The eligibility criteria for the IIMC PGPEx courses are as follows:
- The applicant must have either an undergraduate or a postgraduate degree in the field of engineering.
- The candidate should have secured first-division marks in the Class 10 board examinations.
- It is necessary to have a minimum of 4.5 years of work experience at a full-time role upon the completion of the qualifying educational programme.
- A valid GMAT score must be provided.

- Visit the official website of the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta and go to the respective link for admission.
- Register by providing a valid email address and mobile number and an OTP shall be sent to you for verification of your Email ID and Mobile Number.
- After the candidate is successfully verified, they shall receive the login id and password by which they can log in to their individual accounts.
- Use login ID and password to log into the application portal of the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta.
- Fill out the application form by providing the correct credentials and information relating to the student’s academics.
- A printout of the filled-out form and acknowledgement receipt of the fees paid should be kept for any future reference.

State Scholarship:
- This IIM Calcutta scholarship facility is provided to the students by schemes under the Kolkata government, and the university ensures that deserving students receive the same.
