Candidates must possess the motivation, discipline, and ability to attend the rigorous doctoral program for 4 to 5 years. Before applying, candidates must go through the eligibility criteria specified by the institute for those looking to pursue a Ph.D. doctoral programme. Only after paying the category-wise application fee, the candidate's applications will be considered for the programme.

IIM Calcutta Ph.D. Admission 2024: Steps to Apply
Candidates must fill out the application form for IIM Calcutta Ph.D. Admission 2024 before the deadline i.e., January 30, 3024. As per the official notification, candidates can apply for a maximum of two specializations.
- Step 1: Visit the official website of IIM Calcutta.
- Step 2: Select the course under the “IIM Calcutta Ph.D. Admission 2024” tab, and fill in the required details correctly in the form.
- Step 3: Aspirants belonging to the general category have to pay the application fee of INR 2000 whereas, SC, ST, OBC, PwD, and EWS candidates have to submit INR 1000 along with their category certificate.
- Step 4: Submit and take a printout of the application form.
IIM Calcutta Ph.D. Admission 2024: Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for admission, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Candidates must have completed first class master's or post-graduate diploma along with a three-year Bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 50% aggregate marks (OR)
- Should have four four-year B.Tech degree with a 6.5 CGPA or equivalent. (OR)
- Chartered Accountant with minimum 50% aggregate with B.Com degree. (OR)
- Company Secretary or Certified Management Accountant with a minimum 55% aggregate, with a B.com degree.
- Non-engineering candidates must have done a 10+2+5 degree with a minimum of 55% marks in Secondary or Higher secondary from a recognized board or equivalent.
