IIM Kozhikode is all set to host India’s first ‘Coopathon’ at its campus on April 29, 2018. The event will be organised with a motive to discuss issues faced by the corporate sector. Coopathon is a hackathon that will be conducted on the sidelines of the three-day international conference on ‘Co-Operatives in the Changing World of Work’. The unique event will feature various themes including communication management, member management and e-governance in cooperatives.
IIM Kozhikode is hosting Coopathon in collaboration with Kerala Start-Up Mission, International Labour Organisation and International Cooperative Alliance. ULCCS (Uralungal Labour Contract Co-Operative Society Limited) is organising Coopathon in collaboration with all the above agencies.

The three-day international conference is being co-funded by ICA-EU Partnership on Cooperatives. On the other hand, the event is being supported by ICA Domus Trust.
As a part of the three-day international conference, three ideas will be selected for the Coopathon that will be presented before the delegates from small and large cooperatives. The delegates from more than 20 countries in the Asia-Pacific region will be attending the international conference. Therefore, it will be the best platform for the participants to present their ideas on solving the problems in the corporate sector.
The winners will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 60,000 along with support from Kerala Star-Up Mission for developing the ideas and solutions into start-ups.
