What's New at IIM Kozhikode?

For IIM Kozhikode admission 2023, CAT 2022 results are out. Candidates can now download their official CAT 2022 scorecards by logging into the 'CAT 2022 Score Card Download' section using their login ID and password that was used to register for the same exam.

Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode was established in 1997. IIM Kozhikode shifted to its new campus in January 2003. The IIM Kozhikode campus is situated on two hillocks in the Kunnamangalam area of the ancient city of Calicut in Kerala, India. The IIM Kozhikode campus is spread over 112.5 acres of land with almost 356 students and 67 administrative staff. As per NIRF Ranking 2022, IIM Kozhikode bagged a rank 79 in the overall category, and 5 in the management category. IIM Kozhikode campus has world-class infrastructure. Some of the IIM Kozhikode facilities include air-conditioned classrooms, guest care areas and LAN/WAN connectivity, a hostel, a library, and many more.

IIM Kozhikode courses include five academic programmes and five executive programmes. Out of the many courses offered, PGP, PGP-BL, PGP-Finance, PGP-LSM, EPGP (IL Mode) and EPGP on Kochi Campus are AMBA accredited. IIM Kozhikode admissions for 2023 are currently ongoing. For all the academic programmes and IIM Kozhikode executive MBA programme, the admissions are done on the basis of entrance exams. IIMK admission to executive MBA is done on the basis of EMAT, and for admission in PGP, CAT score is considered. Similarly, for admission in PGP- Finance and PGP-LSM, the score of CAT/GRE/GMAT is considered. For PhD in management, applicants need to appear for the IIMB test. As per IIM Kozhikode placement report 2023, the final year batch of PGP, PGP Finance and PGP LSM achieved 100% placement in just three days, and 116 recruiters visited the campus.

AMBA Accreditation: IIM Kozhikode is the first IIM to be accredited by AMBA. The following courses: PGP, PGP-BL, PGP-Finance, PGP-LSM, EPGP (IL Mode) & MBA on Kochi Campus are AMBA accredited.

EQUIS Accreditation: IIM Kozhikode is the fifth IIM to receive EQUIS Accreditation and sixth among the management institution in the country.

IIM Kozhikode courses include academic programmes and executive programmes at postgraduate and doctoral levels. Courses at IIM Kozhikode consist of five academic programmes and five executive programmes. The IIMK academic programmes include a doctoral programme in management, a post-graduate programme in management, a post-graduate programme in finance, a post-graduate programme in liberal studies and management, post-graduate programme in business leadership. The IIMK executive programmes include PhD in management (practice track), MBA- Kochi campus, executive postgraduate programmes in interactive learning mode, management development programme, and faculty development programme. IIM Kozhikode admissions for all the academic and executive programmes are based on the entrance exams. Moreover, before appearing for the IIM Kozhikode entrance exams, candidates need to make sure that they meet the eligibility criteria set for the courses. The IIMK admission process for most of the courses comprises of three stages. IIM Kozhikode admissions for all the academic courses and executive MBA courses for 2023 are currently going on.

IIM Kozhikode PhD management admissions are done on the basis of CAT, GRE, GMAT, UGC-JRF, UGC-NET and IIMB. IIMK PGP management admissions are done on the basis of CAT. For admissions in IIM Kozhikode PGP finance, PGP LSM, and PGP BL programmes, CAT, GRE and GMAT scores are accepted. For admission to IIM Kozhikode EPGP course, an EMAT score is considered.

• The IIM Kozhikode admission process for most of the courses are same. In the first stage, candidates need to meet the eligibility criteria and register themselves.
• Those candidates who have successfully registered themselves are shortlisted for stage two.
• In stage two, candidates will be shortlisted again on the basis of the Aggregate Index Score. AIS is computed under different parameters for the programmes offered at IIMK.
• A final score computation is done in stage three on the basis of PI score and other parameters. On the basis of the final score computed, a final list of shortlisted candidates will be released.
• Shortlisted candidates can now verify their documents and pay the IIM Kozhikode admission fee.

As per the IIM Kozhikode curriculum, in the first year core courses are taught in 380 lessons, of which 30 hours are focused on a one-week on-campus module held at the IIM Kozhikode campus. At the same time, the rest is delivered through lectures and seminars through the Interactive Learning (IL) platform. The second year is divided into three quarters. The second year of the programmes includes optional courses from several academic disciplines. Students must select optional courses totalling 28 credits (all three quarters combined) from the list of courses provided in all academic areas to cover 280 hours of training. The second year of the IIMK curriculum includes mandatory graduate classes such as management and corporate accountability, global business, and others.

Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode will release the cutoff list for admission into the academic year 2023. It is the minimum score required by the candidate in sectional as well as overall of CAT in order to be considered eligible for the admission process. Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode scholarship is provided on the basis of merit scores of students and is also need-based. Candidate must meet the IIM Kozhikode scholarship eligibility criteria to avail the same. At present, there are three IIMK scholarships that are provided to the students, They are IIMK merit scholarship, IIMK need based scholarship and central scholarship for SC students.

IIMK Merit Scholarship: 

Awarded to the top five percent of second-year batch students.

IIMK Need-Based Scholarship: 

The scholarship is given to first and second year students whose family income is less than Rs 2,00,000 (as per the previous financial year).

Central Scholarship for SC students: 

This IIM Kozhikode scholarship is provided to students whose parents have an annual income of less than Rs 2,00,000 (as per the previous financial year).

IIM Kozhikode placement 2022 report for PGP management, PGP finance, and PGP liberal studies and management is out. IIM Kozhikode achieved 100% placement. The total IIM Kozhikode placement offers received were 571. A total of 116 recruiters visited the IIMK placement drive. At the IIM Kozhikode placement drive 2022, the consulting domain showed a significant increase of 50% in 2022 compared to the previous year. It comprised 41% of the total IIMK placement in 2022. IIM Kozhikode head office is at Kunnamangalam, a district of Calicut, Kerala. Kozhikode is Kerala's second-largest city. The IIM Kozhikode campus is located in the Western Ghats. The site provides residential amenities for students, professors, and guests in addition to classrooms. IIMK has 17 hostels to house the approximately 900 students prepared to participate on-site. IIMK which is spread across 112.5 acres of land, relies on rainwater gathering as its primary water supply.

Classroom: 

IIM Kozhikode classrooms are equipped with computers, multimedia projectors and motorized screens, OHPs, wireless presenters and other audio-visual tools.

Auditoriums: 

IIM Kozhikode infrastructure is world-class, and it includes two auditoriums with a seating capacity of about 250 and 400. The IIMK auditoriums are used for conducting seminars, conferences, culture programmes, students' events and other important events organised by the institute.

IIM Kozhikode Hostel: 

IIM Kozhikode has 17 hostels with a capacity of over 1150 students. All the other IIM Kozhikode facilities like classrooms, computer centre, canteen, and others are within walking distance of the hostel. The hostels are equipped with single and double rooms, a TV facility and washing machines, a gymnasium and basic medical facilities. Facilities for making STD/ISD calls are also located within each hostel. The hostels also have facilities for various sports like table tennis, badminton, carrom, chess etc. All the hostel rooms have been provided with a LAN connection as well.

Guest Care for Participants and Guests: 

For the participants, IIM Kozhikode has 116 functional standard and premium air-conditioned accommodation with attached bathroom, TV with cable connection, small refrigerator,  internet connectivity, 90 cover premium dining hall, a reading lounge, classrooms and auditorium, buzz rooms, recreation facilities for indoor and outdoor games like badminton, TT, carrom, billiards, chess, volleyball and cricket. IIM Kozhikode has air-conditioned guest houses with attached toilets, TV with cable connection, a small refrigerator, a coffee maker and internet connectivity.

Cafeteria:

At IIM Kozhikode, a well-furnished cafeteria provides clean and well-ventilated facilities, and hygienically good food. A canteen provides tasty and nutritious food at reasonable rates.

Game Facility:

Students have access to a variety of sporting facilities, both indoor and outdoor. Indoor activities such as table tennis, carrom, and chess are available in all hostels. Aside from these, the institute provides enough area for outdoor activities such as badminton, basketball, football, and cricket. IIMK has proper grounds ensuring enough area for students to play.

Library:

The IIMK library has a wide range of knowledge and information resources, facilities, and cutting-edge information and communication technology to assist students in expanding their knowledge, skills, and performance.
