IIM Shillong hosted the 6th edition of TEDx on March 17, 2018, at State Convention Centre. As a part of the event, the management institute invited the speakers from across the country to share their ideas that will have a great impact on people’s lives. TEDx is one of the significant events created with a motive and vision of ‘ideas of worth spending’. TEDx plays a dominant role in supporting the independent organisers who wish to curate an event on the lines of TEDx in their community.
The theme of TEDx 6th edition is ‘The 53rd Card’. This year, the theme of the event underscored the transformative power of choice.

With a motive to promote ideas in a worthy way, TEDx is a programme of self-organised events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. TEDx is a complication of video talks, live speakers and deep discussions. The TED conference plays a significant role in providing general guidance for the TEDx programme. However, TEDx events are self-organised subject to some rules and regulations.
