For the second time, the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) have extended their registration window for the Common Admission Test (CAT).
The 46-day registration window, set to close on Sunday night, has been extended by five days by IIM-Ahmedabad, the organizing IIM of CAT 2015. A Report published by Mint said.
“The form date is extended up to 25th Sept 2015. Candidates can register and make the payment till 25th Sept 2015,” IIM-Ahmedabad said on the CAT 2015 website on Sunday.
Last year, an extension of the CAT registration window attracted more than 7,000 fresh registrations, taking the total number of applicants to 196,000.
Before the extension of the registration window in 2014, the number of CAT applicants was the lowest since 2007. In 2007, there were some 250,000 applicants for CAT exam.
