The Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore has decided to host an ‘Open Day’ event on Saturday, 23rd March 2019. The timings of this event will be from 9 am to 5 pm in which the institute will showcase the students and the general public all the activities that go on in the campus.
The event is not only for those who identify themselves as enthusiasts of science and technology. The general public and student community will also be able to avail the opportunity. They will be allowed to visit the institute and explore the campus to know about the scientific and technological activities and initiatives it undertakes.
Several exhibitions, poster presentations, competitions related to science, quiz contests, experimental demos, and popular lectures will be a part of the Open Day event at IISc Bangalore which will all be organised by the institute. Various departments will make specific exhibitions for students and those who come to visit. A special ‘Kids Zone’ will be organised for younger students that will have several science and technology demonstrations to entertain them.

The entry for this Open Day event is free but interested people will have to register beforehand. The registration is open for everyone, from educational institutions to individuals, anyone can register themselves by going on the official website of IISc Bangalore. The last date to register is 15th March 2019.

The institute has asked the visitors to use public transport for conveyance as the parking slot is limited and will be available for buses.
