IIT Bombay opens Applications for Advanced ProgrammesIIT Bombay opens Applications for Advanced Programmes: The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, has started the Professional Certification Programs in Cybersecurity and Software Development, offered by the IITB Trust Lab, Department of Computer Science & Engineering. The primary agenda behind this advanced program is to offer industry-relevant and application-driven education. So that the program can follow the academic-industry integrated model to blend the theoretical concepts with the hands-on practices. In this regard, the authority of the IIT Bombay mentioned that the course span of each of the advanced programs will be for twelve months, which will comprise three structured courses. Simultaneously, the weekly laboratory sessions will be replicated with the real-world professional environments, which enables building both the workplace-ready expertise and conceptual understanding.
The new Advanced Program introduces a 14-week course on Network Security under the Cybersecurity program. It focuses on protecting the computer networks against the evolving cyber threats via practical learning in defense strategies. Also, the learning in the advanced program aims to secure protocols and network hardening techniques. On the other hand, the other fourteen-week course focuses on full-stack MERN development under the Software Development program, so that the students will be equipped with the ability to design and they can deploy secure, scalable web applications, using the modern frameworks and server configurations.
The advanced programs are curated in such a way that they can meet the market needs, and they can enhance their professional growth. So that they will get a wide range of opportunities in the high-demand job market. As per the schedule, both the advanced programs will commence on January 4, 2026.
