IIT-B's tech fest team takes social cause

IIT-Bombay's technological festival, Techfest, has always addressed social problems in their events throughout the year. On the day of Holi the Techfest team visited NGOs and orphanages and celebrated Dry Holi with the children in order to spread the colour of happiness in their lives.

The team celebrated the festival with the children of the Aditya Birla Centre for the Welfare of Children in Chembur and the Vatsalya Trust near Powai. The team also visited children living in the slums near the IIT-Bombay campus.

The students' team used eco-friendly colours to celebrate Holi with zero wastage of water. Children were presented with gifts by the team members. The team also motivated the children on the importance of education and how it plays an important role in moulding future personalities.
