In the history of Indian education, this is the first time when two of the most popular colleges have been mentioned in the list of 200 top universities around the world. IISB and IIT Delhi have stood at 147th and 179th rank respectively.
The list QS World University rankings 2015 have pointed out that University of Delhi and University of Mumbai couldn't have found their place among the top rankings. There are 14 Indian Institutes that have been ranked among the global 400 World University Ranking list.
IIT Delhi has made a rapid progress to keep itself at the top position in the ranking. It was ranked 235th in the world in 2014.
According to the survey of University rankings, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has been crowned as the top University in the world with Harvard following with second rank. Stanford University and University of Cambridge have scored the third rank in the world.
