One of the top 10 universities in Australia – Macquarie University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with India’s reputed premier institute IIT Delhi for joint academic and research activities. The MoU will enable IIT Delhi and Macquarie University to roll out different initiatives such as training in sciences and engineering, workshops, conferences, teaching and learning initiatives, joint research collaboration and faculty exchange.
Faculty of Science and Engineering of Macquarie University is popular for its path-breaking innovations in environmental sciences, information technology, cybersecurity, telecommunications and wireless technology. The varsity will collaborate with IIT Delhi in these areas and produce impactful academic and research outcome.

Associate Dean of Faculty of Science of Engineering – Macquarie University, Professor Richard de Grijs expressed that the MoU signed between the two institutes is a beginning of a long relationship that will help both institutes through cooperative academic pursuits.
Dean of Alumni Affairs and International Programmes – IIT Delhi, Professor Sanjeev Sanghi indicated that the MoU is a primary step towards meaningful and impactful collaborative research between Macquarie University and IIT Delhi. The collaboration will bring together students, academicians and researchers from both institutes and will provide them with a platform to benefit from mutual expertise, he added.

Macquarie University is looking for some strategic research and academic alliances with leading institutes in India as a part of its India engagement. The Australian University has tie-ups with a few premier institutes in India.
