Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT-G) has collaborated with Royal Global University (RGU), Assam for joint research programmes, collaborative projects, joint seminar programs, training sessions and workshops.
A MoU regarding the same was signed between the two premier institutes on 5th July 2018. The MoU will help in conducting summer and winter training/internship, student exchange programmes to visit RGU, guidance in university administration system, promotion of sports and cultural activities between the two institutes. This initiative will offer students with an opportunity to have interactive sessions with one another and in providing them will global exposure.

The Memorandum of Understanding will facilitate faculty members of IIT Guwahati to act as resource persons for various special topics of several courses of RGU and in the selection of outstanding RGU students to pursue their final year projects at IIT-G.
IIT-G will also help in the infrastructure development of RGU and is establishing laboratories and in conducting inter-university friendly matches in selected sports and cultural events. Royal Global University is the fifth private university established in the Assam state. The university was established with a vision of promoting national and international opportunities to its students and to create global citizens.
