Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IIT Indore) has collaborated with the institutes of France for the purpose of research in multiple areas. As a part of the joint collaboration, exchange programmes will also be introduced between the universities of the two countries.
IIT Indore will collaborate with about ten French institutes to cover different areas of research. As of now, the institute has also signed five Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Université de Strasbourg, Institute Mines-Télécom (IMT) École catholique d'arts et métiers (ECAM), Atlantique, IMT, Lyon, & Alliance Française (AF) Bhopal.
Université de Strasbourg's Deputy VP of International Relations, Dr. Philippe Turek while elaborating further during the three-day Indo French Research Workshop, said that IIT Indore is currently involved in high-quality research. Apart from that, they are also planning to reach out to other IITs of the country as well.

According to the director professor of IIT Indore, Mr. Pradeep Mathur, interdisciplinary research and multi-institutional collaboration is very important to provide opportunities for students to explore different cultures and economies for better understanding.
The institute will submit joint research proposals for funding in order to enable exchange visits for both students and teachers.
The French universities are looking forward to increasing the research scope with India in the future on different grounds. IoT, genome sequencing & Artificial Intelligence are the main focus of the collaboration.

Indore has already started with the research work on space weather and space dynamics, etc. A lot of conferences and future interactions for the basic scientific projects are already planned for the coming year.
