IIT students have been showing their excellence in the recruitment drive for 2023-24 session. Find out the major highlights, highest salary offered to them here, which has been added based on the data received after day 1 and 2 placements.
IIT Placements 2023-24 Day 1 and 2IIT Placements 2023-24: The placement drives in IITs have been started and the Indian Institutes of Technology have been witnessed crore-plus offers have been coming from generally from the high-frequency trading firms and the investment firms. On day 1 recruitment drive, most of the IITians got 20 foreign postings directly.
IIT Placements 2023-24 Day 1 and 2: Major Highlights
Go through the major highlights of IIT Placements 2023-24 here:
- Four students from IIT Bombay secured Crore plus jobs from Samsung, Korea
- In addition, 193 students from IIT Bombay got placed this year, which is higher than the last year. In 2022, the number of placements from IITB was 1833
- From IIT Guwahati, 11 students got Rs 1 Crore plus package as of now; whereas the number was 7 only in the last year
- Three students from IIT Roorkee secured International postings as of now
- IIT Kanpur recruitment drive is also going on. Based on the data received so far, a total of 485 jobs have been offered including PPOs, domestic and global companies
- After day 1 recruitment, 771 students from IIT Kharagpur got placements by more than 61 companies at several roles, such as software, finance-banking, core engineering, consulting. Among these, 19 international offers are there for the candidates
- 480 offers received by the IIT Delhi students

IIT Placements 2023-24 Day 1 and 2: Salary Highlights
Based on the data received from several IITs after Day 1 and 2 placement, the salary highlights have been added here:
- An IIT Roorkee student bagged Rs 2.05 crore from the US-based software firm Databricks
- The average salary offered to the IIT Bombay students is Rs 60-80 Lakh
- 6 students from IIT Kharagpur offered more than Rs 1 crore
