Income Tax Recruitment 2023Income Tax Recruitment 2023: The Income Tax Department is recruiting candidates for Meritorious Sportsperson positions in multiple departments. According to the recent notification, 20 vacancies will be filled by eligible candidates after all the recruitment processes are conducted. Applicants aspiring to become meritorious sportspersons can apply for the Income Tax Recruitment 2023 drive by visiting their official website @incometaxchandigarh.org and submitting their applications by March 17, 2023. After examining the details in the application form, those candidates who meet their basic requirements will be ranked depending on their sports achievements and have to sit for a written test to qualify for the above-mentioned roles.
Income Tax Recruitment 2023: Vacancies
Eligible candidates will fill three posts: Income Tax Inspector, Tax Assistant, and Multi-tasking Staff, each having a different number of vacancies. The following table shows the post-wise vacancy for Income Tax recruitment 2023:

Income Tax Recruitment 2023: Age Limit
According to the Income Tax department notification 2023, candidates must have the following eligibility criteria for each post:
The age limit should be between 18 to 30 years for the Income Tax Inspector role.
The age limit should be between 18 to 27 years for the Tax Assistant role.
The age limit should be between 18 to 25 years for the Multi-tasking Staff role.
It is important to note that according to the Consolidated Instructions on Incentives for sportspersons, age relaxation will be provided to different caste categories. For the General/OBC applicants, the age limit can be stretched to five years, and for the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates, the age limit can be extended up to ten years. Departmental candidates who have provided three years of service in Central Government will be able to apply till 40 years of age.
Income Tax Recruitment 2023: Eligibility
The following are the eligibility criteria for Income Tax Recruitment 2023:
For the Income Tax Inspector, Multi-Tasking, and Tax Assistant role, candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
For the Tax Assistant role, candidates must have 8000 key depression data entry speeds per hour.
