Indraprastha University Admissions 2018: New Courses Application Details
  • Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has released the admission notification for the various course.
  • IP University has also introduced a few new courses along with their admission and selection proccedures.

The prestigious Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has announced admission to various UG and PG courses for the academic session 2018-19. The university offers close to 33,000 seats across 166 affiliated colleges and 11 schools. The admission notification was released on Friday, March 9, 2018.

Indraprastha University has also launched some new courses in different fields for this academic session. The admissions process for these courses has been mentioned by the university in the detailed admission brochure available on the official website of the university. The university has notified admission for a total of 48 courses for now.

Admission to all the courses is not done on the basis of the university’s CET. There are a few course for which admissions will be done on the basis of applications, marks scored in the last qualifying exam and performance in Interviews. Following are some of the courses offered by IP University that have no CET:

  • MBA (weekend)
  • M.Tech in CSE (weekend)
  • M.Tech in ECE (weekend)
  • LLM (weekend)

Note: Admission to M.Tech in Biotechnology will be done on the basis of score obtained by the aspirants in GATE.

The university has not released the admission notification for the B.Arch courses. Admission to these courses will be done on the basis of NATA score.

Centres for CET outside Delhi will be available only for the B.Tech and MCA exams. Also, separate CET will be conducted for admission to B.Ed and B.Ed (Special Education) courses. Candidates with Nepali citizenship can apply on the basis of either TOEFL or CETs.

IP University will released a separate admission brochure for all vocational courses, M.Phill courses and Ph.D programmes.
