Lucknow University recently declared its B.Sc (Bachelor of Science) first-semester result. According to the data received, the result was no less than a shock as it proclaimed that approx 50% of the students failed to clear the examination. This result is considerably worse than that of the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Commerce results. To be exact, 50.09% out of the total number of B.Sc students at the Lucknow University failed to clear the exams.
The percentage of students failing in the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) is 23.79% while for Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) is 9.95%. The result of the first-semester examination is available on the official website of the University, from where the students can check their result. The shocking result of B.Sc department has left everyone to re-think on the syllabus as only about 25% of the students have cleared the exams with a good score.

However, there is a piece of good news for the students who could not clear the first semester. These students will be provisionally granted admission in the second semester. The decision has been recorded as per norms prescribed in the policy of the University, that indicates that no student shall be detained in the first semester and will be promoted to the second semester.

With the help of this policy of the University, students who failed to pass the first semester will be given a second chance in the third-semester examination to clear their backlogs. Students will have to clear the third semester along with the backlogs of the first semester as a compulsion to get promoted to the fourth semester of the course. The ones failing to clear any of the semester examinations will be debarred from taking admission in the fourth semester examination as per the described policy of the University.
