The Vice President of popular messaging app WhatsApp, Mr. Neeraj Arora has instituted a scholarship dedicated to a deserving women student who is enrolled in the Post Graduate Programme in Management at the coveted Indian School of Business i.e. ISB Hyderabad. This scholarship will be a merit-cum-need based one.
Mr. Neeraj Arora is also an alumnus of ISB Hyderabad. The scholarship has been named after his father - Jagannath Arora Scholarship and is meant for those talented professionals who wish to pursue a career of their choice. The first ever scholarship will be awarded to Ms. Shalini Tiwari who belongs to Andaman & Nicobar Islands and is a dental surgeon by profession.

While highlighting the scholarship details, he said that ISB Hyderabad is the place where he learned in abundance. The institute provided him a chance to become a part of a wide network of professionals that has further benefitted him over the years. In order to make the school stronger, he wishes to give back to the institute in the form of the scholarship that he has instituted.
Another alumnus of ISB Hyderabad, Amit Khanna had announced the Phoenix Nurture India scholarship earlier. The one introduced by Neeraj Arora is the second scholarship initiative that is driven by the school alumni.

The Dean of ISB, Mr. Rajendra Srivastava expressed his happiness over the fact that ISB alumni are coming forward to making a difference in the education sector by devising ways to make it accessible to all. He thanked them for their continuous support and ensured them that meritorious students will not miss a deserving opportunity because of financial reasons.
Apart from providing scholarships, ISB alumni are also actively involved in the admission processes and selection, research and placements etc.
