Three Jamia Engineering Students Bag Highest Paid Summer Internship

Three B.Tech students from Jamia Millia Islamia have been selected by the Multinational Group Trident LTD. for a two-month summer internship programme. The students will be the recipients of one of the highest stipend that any student from the faculty of engineering has received, i.e. ₹50,000.

Three Jamia Engineering Students Bag Highest Paid Summer Internship

From the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), three students have been selected for a summer internship programme while being paid one of the highest stipends that anyone from the department has been paid.

The three students, Chirag Kaushik and Divyanshu Singh from B.Tech Computer Science Engineering and Mohd. Zafaryab from B.Tech Electrical Engineering has been selected for the summer internship programme by the multinational group Trident limited. They will be paid a stipend of ₹50,000 each per month. The students will be part of the programme for a total of two months.

Sources state that the students had been selected on the basis of their performance in class 10 and 12 board exams along with two psychometric examinations. The students were asked to explain the projects that they had undertaken prior to joining the company. Zafaryab had explained that he had been part of projects that had been supported by the Centre of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at JMI.

This is one of the many achievements that have taken place at the almost 100-year Institution. Under the guidance of the new Vice-Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia, Prof Najma Akhtar, JMI is moving forward to many changes that will bring such results under its name. Prof Najma Akhtar has also stated that the college is in the process of making many changes that will help Jamia Millia and Islamia to rank better among the top colleges in India.

One of the few changes that Prof Najma Akhtar aims to bring at Jamia Millia Islamia is to increase the involvement of women and female students at the college. Akhtar aims to bring in many female-oriented courses among the many futuristic courses at JMI.
