After a delay of four days, JoSAA has finally released the result of the 3rd round of counselling and seat allotment. The result of the 3rd round has been uploaded on the official website of JoSAA. Candidates who had applied for the 3rd round of counselling for upgrading their seats can check their results by logging in using their JEE Main roll number and password.
Students who have been allocated a seat in the 3rd round of counselling can accept their seats by confirming their admissions from July 11 to July 13, 2017. Students will have to report at the designated reporting centres in order to secure admission.

The counselling process for admission to IITs was halted last week due to an order passed by the Supreme Court in response to a plea that asked for a new merit list because of the bonus marks that were given to students.
The Supreme Court had given the IITs a go ahead to resume their admission and counselling process for allocating seats to the candidates who had cleared the JEE Advanced 2017 and JEE Main 2017. The decision was made by the Court on July 10, 2017. The court also directed the institutes to prevent such incidents from occurring in future.

The third round of JoSAA counselling for JEE Advanced was stopped after the decision given by the Supreme Court last week. Initially, the third round for admission was supposed to start from July 7 and has now been postponed to July 11, 2017.
