JEE Main 1 February 2023 Shift 1 Question Paper Analysis: Unofficial Answer Key, Expert Solutions

JEE Main exam for 1st February shift 1 took place from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon. The paper was conducted for both B.E and B.Tech courses. Candidates from the PwD category will get an hour extra to complete the paper. The question paper for B.E and B.Tech courses comprises of 90 questions in total across all three subjects- Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Out of 90, 60 questions were MCQ-based whereas 30 questions was NAT-based. For every correct answer, candidates will be awarded 4 marks and for every incorrect answer, 0.25 mark will be deducted. Upon the completion of the exam, the first reaction of the candidates to the paper along with question paper analysis will be provided on this page of CollegeDekho.

JEE Main 1 February 2023 Shift 1: Major Highlights

The major highlights of the 1 February shift 1 examination will be updated here once the exam concludes. 
  • The overall difficulty of JEE Main todays paper was considered to be moderate
  • Physics section was considered to be moderate to easy level
  • Chemistry section was found to be moderate by the candidates
  • Mathematics section was found to be difficult and lengthy similar to previous shifts
  • Physics section contained many formula based questions
  • Organic chemistry had more weightage in the MCQ section
  • Chemistry NAT section had questions from Physical chemistry
  • There were many questions from Class 11 in this shift
