Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST) is for admission to the Ph.D. and Integrated Ph.D. programme for different participating institutes. JEST 2020 is conducted by many premier research institutes for admission to these courses.
Candidates looking for admission for a Ph.D./Integrated Ph.D. programme in Physics/ Neuroscience/ Theoretical Computer Science/ Computational Biology in one of the participating institutions can appear for JEST at one of the exam centres. This exam is recognised as a National Eligibility Test (NET) by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB). Fellows who are working in SERB programmes and qualified in NET can apply for an enhanced fellowship.
Participating institutes have their own eligibility criteria and the applicants who can complete their final exams by the end of August every year are also eligible to apply for JEST.

JEST 2020 Application Starting Date
The date for the beginning of JEST 2020 registration was from November 1, 2019. Candidates will have to visit the official website of JEST for more information.
JEST 2020 Application Ending Date
The last date for submission of JEST 2020 online applications was December 14, 2019. Any application that will be filled in and submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
JEST 2020 Admit Card Date
The admit cards for JEST 2020 will be released at least seven days before the exam date. Candidates need to visit the official website of JEST and login to download their admit cards.
JEST 2020 Exam Dates
The exam date for JEST 2020 is February 16, 2020. It is compulsory for all candidates to carry their admit cards to the exam center on the day of the exam.
