A five-day educational trip to Dubai for PGDM (IB), PGDM (RM) and PGDM students was organised by JIMS Rohini from March 27 to March 31, 2017. The main objective of this educational trip was to enable students to get an exposure to international brands and gain a basic understanding of global business. Dr. Ritu Bajaj accompanied the students and they visited Mall of Emirates, Dubai Mall, various companies and an international university. They also visited various tourist spots in Dubai.
The students visited Sky Line University located in Sharjah which was a 40-minute drive away from Dubai. It is one of the best universities in Dubai with a large number of international students. Dean of Management Programme, Dr. Amithabh interacted with the students and explained them about various opportunities in Dubai. Mr. Nithin helped the students in visiting the entire campus that is spread over 100 acres of land.

The students also visited a company named ‘1776’ located in the Jumeiraherah Emirates. ‘1776’ is a company that acts as a business incubator for startups and provides support to startups across the globe. The students interacted with Mr. Tarek Ghobar and Ms. Claudia at ‘1776’. The Jumeiraherah Emirates is regarded as the ‘happiest tower in the world’ and its height is 309 meters.

The students thanked the institution for organising an educational trip to Dubai. Students who visited Dubai expressed that it is a wonderful and highly modern place. There are various shopping malls and a variety of brands and one needs to carry a lot of money for shopping! The students also indicated that they had a marvellous experience and exposure.
