JoSAA 2022 Choice Filling Begins: Last Date, Steps to Choose Colleges

JoSAA 2022 Choice Filling Begins: Joint Seat Allocation Authority or JoSAA started the registration and choice filling process for all the JEE Main and Advanced qualified candidates. It will enable candidates to get admission into the top IITs, NITs, and government-funded technical colleges/institutions. The JoSAA choice filling and registration will be conducted online on the official website josaa.nic.in. Candidates willing to appear for the counselling process need to fill and submit the preferred choices before 21st September 2022. During the choice filling process, candidates have to select the choice institution and course he/she prefer to join. Candidates will be given multiple choice options to enter during the choice-filling process. Students must remember that the seat allotment will be done based on the rank and choices filed by the candidate.

JoSAA Choice Filling 2022: Steps to Choose Colleges

Here are the steps candidate can follow during the choice filling process: 

• Firstly candidate has to visit the official website josaa.nic.in and complete the registration process by entering the login details of JEE Main/Advanced application number and password 
• Once the registration process is completed the candidate needs to  exercise the JoSAA choice filling by proving their college and course preference
• The choice filling page will be divided into two parts where in the left panel candidate will check the available choices and the right panel shows the submitted choices
• Candidates can click on the “Add” button in the left panel to add the choice 
• Click on the “Save” button to confirm the choices
• If a candidate wishes to delete any choice then he/she needs to click on the “Delete” button on the right panel
• Candidates can also click on the “Move Up” or “Move Down” button to shift the choices
• Remember that saved choices can be modified till 21st September 2022 and candidates will have multiple options to enter during the choice filling process
• Once a candidate successful  submits the preferred college and course then he/she needs to Lock the choices 

JoSAA 2022 Locking of Choices 

• To lock the filed choices candidate need to click on the “Lock Choice button where he.se need to check the agreement and re-enter the password and then lock the choices 
• Choices filled and locked can not be unlocked or edited 
• Once candidates click on the lock button then they will be redirected to the home page 
• If a candidate fails to lock the choices then all the saved choices will be automatically locked 
• On the other hand, if a candidate fails to enter any choices before the deadline then they will not be considered for the seat allotment process
