The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) is planning to conduct KCET in online mode from 2020, which means that KCET will be transformed from pen and paper-based test (offline exam) to Computer-Based Test (CBT). However, KCET 2019 will be conducted in offline mode, and the online exam shall be introduced from the next academic session.
According to sources, KEA preferred online exam for KCET to ensure more transparency in the process of conducting the exam. If KEA decides to go ahead with the proposal, it has to provide awareness regarding the online exam next year.
KEA has taken a final decision regarding conducting an offline exam for KCET 2019 and an online exam for KCET 2020.

With this move, it will be very easy for the examination authority to complete the evaluation of answers and release the results as early as possible. However, KEA has to make sure that there would be no technical glitches during the exam and must ensure error-free results.
KEA conducts KCET for admission to engineering, pharmacy and agriculture courses. Last year, KCET was conducted on April 18, 19 and April 19. The exam was conducted at 340 centres across the country. After appearing for the exam, Candidates can estimate their score through our KCET Rank Predictor.
