The department of Electronics of Koneru Lakshmaya University organized a National Seminar on “Challenges in consumption and preservation of electricity” on 15-March-2016. The seminar was inaugurated by University Vice-Chancellor, Shri.Ramamoorthi. The key speaker of the seminar was M. Venkata Ramana, ADE, Vijayawada Thermal Power Plant.
Addressing the students he said “Now a days it has been a big challenge for the department of electricity to maintain sustainability in the consumption and production of electricity. The consumption of electricity is more than the production of electricity. To maintain balance between consumption and production is a challenging task".
Dr.Lalitha, Research scholar, K.L University, said “The Andhra Pradesh government has been partially successful in maintain balance and it is taking steps to reduce power cuts during summer”.
Around 60 delegates from various colleges and universities came to present their papers on the theme. Around 40 students from various institutions also presented their papers.
This seminar has yielded fruitful results as it gave new ideas for the development of production in electricity. The participants were awarded with certificates at the valedictory ceremony.
The inaugural session was attended by department coordinator, research scholars, students, print and electronic media.
