The ECE department of Koneru Lakshmaiah University organized Zotriya-2016 a two-day national level Techno meet on 1st and 2nd April-2016. The techno meet was inaugurated by Dr.PVS Rao, director, National Remote Sensing Centre, Hyderabad along with University Vice-Chancellor, Dr.Ram, Murthy. HOD of ECE department, A. Sastry presented the welcome address.
Addressing the students, Dr.PVS Rao said, “Nowadays technology is playing an important role in the development of a country. Human beings are bound to technology where they are depending upon technology even for small works. The developments in technology should not cause harm to the environment. There must be sustainability between the developments in technology and improving the environment. It is human beings who developed technology. The intelligence of human beings is unmatchable with a computer. This technology must be properly utilized for better results.” He motivated the students to develop not only technical knowledge but also communication skills which are very much essential nowadays.
The chief guest was felicitated by the University Vice-chancellor. A booklet related to the techno meet was released by the chief guest on this occasion.
Around 75 students from various colleges came to participate in the various competitions like;
- Paper Presentation
- Poster presentation
- Ethical Hacking
- Techno quiz
Prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions. University Vice Chancellor appreciated the ECE department for organizing Zotriya-2016 in a grand manner. The techno meet was attended by the faculty of ECE department, students, eminent scholars, print and electronic media.
