After deciding to give security responsibilities to a private security agency, Lucknow University has now released its duty chart, in which it's mentioned that LU is now going to provide 24-hour security on the campus for its student's safety.
Security guards were only working till 5pm, till now and now they will will be working in shifts to provide 24 hrs security.
Chief Proctor Nishi Pandey released the security chart and on the occasion she said, that she hopes that students campus are now going to have a healty educational environment in the campus.
She said that guards will be providing security not only in University campus but also at Tilak hostel, Milni Park, and near ONGC building.
Lucknow University provides residential facilities to teachers, students and non-teaching staff. There are over all 13 hostels for boys and girls in the University. Kailash Hall and the New Management Girls Hostel can house nearly 600 female students. According to sources soon all these hostels will get updated private security, just like campus and other hostels.
Earlier this year LU administration faced lots criticism for lack of discipline and for not having any checks in place to ensure that only a genuine student of the university enters the hostels.
