The principal of the Magadh Mahila College – Patna (MMC) has written to the VC, the chief secretary of the education department, the director of the higher education against the decision taken by the state government’s education department.
The principal has complained that the decision of the taking the annual fees at the end of the session and proceeding the education without fees from the start is idealistic and problems are likely to be raised due to the shortage of funds at the college
Also, the principal has put forward a number of complaints such as the college is facing a faculty staff crunch. The principal informed that the new teaching posts for the post-graduate and the undergraduate students are filled with 90% temporary students. Prof Singh also mentioned that the students have to manage with only two permanent faculty members per department.
The principal asked for a change in the regulation in order to get several works starting. The principal said that ‘we should get the funds right now, for getting the institutional operations going, also, if the university wants, we may send them a penny to penny report at the end of the session to justify our expenditure at the college’.
