The exam was conducted in pen-and-paper mode from 11 a.m. to 2:10 p.m. Maharashtra HSC English 2023 theory paper was carried out for 80 marks while the rest 20 marks fall under the internal assessment category. Maharashtra Class 12 English Exam 2023: Student Reviews
The first reactions of the students, their opinions the paper, along with its other major highlights are discussed below:
- Most of the students said that they were happy with how the paper was. The average difficulty level as rated by the students was Easy to Moderate.
- "In my opinion, the prose questions were easier than the poetry section this time. Not that it had very tough questions, its just understanding of the poetry has always seemed tricky to me," a Delhi student expressed her views.
- Students said that they found the Writing Skills section to be easy as well. "The types of questions came exactly as expected and I had prepared them well, so I did well. However, I found the paper to be a bit lengthy but it was expected considering it was English."
- The most difficult section in the paper was Literature or Novel section. "I was more dependent on the cliff-notes version for the novel. Hence, I found it to be a bit tough. I did well in the rest of the paper."
