The first convocation ceremony of Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda took place on May 5, 2017, at MNR Convention Centre. Vice-Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University, Prof. M. Jagadish Kumar delivered the convocation address and Governor of Telangana and Andhra State, Shri. E.S.L. Narasimhan awarded the degrees.

Delivering the convocation address, Prof. M. Graduates should stand as ambassadors of the varsities in the society. He also pointed that various technological innovations are coming up in which students can provide their inputs and help farmers in rural areas.
