The master in Applied Management course in Gujarat Technological University (GTU) has been changed to Master of Business Administration (MBA) Five-Years integrated course.
The student will have the freedom to quit after three years and can leave with just a Bachelor of Business administration (BBA) degree.
Though the exit window will only be at the completion of three years.
After that a student will have to complete full five years of study, and won't be able to quit anywhere in between.
A green signal has been given to this upgraded version of the course by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the apex body and national-level council for technical education. It is said that the new course will make students more skilful and industry-ready.
According to the GTU officials, to enter into this programme, the student wil have to pass HSC examination from any stream (Arts, Commerce or Science) can join the programme.
The Master in Applied Management was started in 2012-13 and GTU started offering this course through its affiliated colleges in the year 2012-13.
