MHT CET 2017 Provisional Answer Key Out, Check Now!

The answer key of Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) 2017 were released on May 26 by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra. Scanned OMR Answer Sheets of MHT CET 2017 are also published on the official website. It will be available until June 2. Candidates appearing for the examination can now cross-check their recorded responses with the provisional answer keys and thus calculate their estimated marks.

If students are not satisfied with the answer key, they may raise objections or challenge the answer key online in the prescribed manner. However, they need to send the proof claiming the objection along with the question number. For this, students are supposed to fill in the details as per the format, sign, scan and then send it as an attachment with subject “Grievance MHT-CET 2017” to the authority at mhtcet2017@dtemaharashtra.gov.in through the registered email ID.

Steps to view the MHT-CET answer key:

  • Visit the official examination portal.

  • Go to the quick link at the right and click on “View MHT-CET 2017 Answer Key”

  • Click on the link according to the subject as per your question paper set. The answer key is available in PDF format for all the sets of question booklet.

  • Download the MHT-CET answer key displayed.

Steps to view your OMR sheet:

  • Go to the quick link at the right and click on “View MHT-CET 2017 OMR Answer Sheet” on the official website.

  • Submit the required credentials with the given security key.

  • After verifying the information provided, the OMR sheet of the student will be displayed.

The final answer key with be published soon by the exam conducting authority, although the date for its release is yet to be announced. The result will be declared on or before June 4.

The state level entrance test was held on May 11, 2017. Students qualifying the entrance examination will be eligible for seeking admissions to various undergraduate engineering programmes across 360 institutes of Maharashtra. Over 1.50 lakh applicants get admission through this entrance test among the 4 lakh students appearing every year.

This year, DTE Maharashtra has made changes to the eligibility criteria in the MHT CET 2017 examination. Unlike previous years, 15 percent All India Quota Seats in private institutes will be changed, the candidates under this category will be admitted on the basis of scores obtained in JEE Main 2017. However, if All India Quota remains vacant then the candidates will be allotted seats based on the merit list of MHT CET 2017.
