Department of Science and Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology is inviting applications for its Scholarship for Higher Education-SHE. The scholarship is a part of the INSPIRE initiative.
Over 12,000 scholarships are given every year under SHE for pursuing bachelor’s and master’s level education in the Natural and Basic Sciences. Check out the eligibility criteria for Scholarship for Higher Education here:

Scholarship for Higher Education Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must possess any one of the eligibility criteria listed below:
Criteria A: Candidates who are among the top 1% in Class 12th in their respective board exams and are pursuing courses in B.Sc. or Integrated M.Sc. programmes in Natural and Basic Sciences.
Criteria B: Candidates who are in the top 10,000 ranking in the Joint Entrance Examination or JEE Advanced and the ones who have cleared the NEET examination planning to pursue Natural and Basic Science are eligible for the scholarship.
Criteria C: Candidates who meet the criterion A and are a part of IISER, NISER, Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Basic Sciences or are a part of Jagadish Bose National Science Talent Search or science olympiad medalists opting for Natural and Basic Science programmes (B.Sc. and M.Sc) are eligible for SHE scholarship.

Selected candidates will receive Rs.80,000 annually. However, the cash value payable to the SHE scholarship holder is Rs.60,000 and the remaining Rs.20,000 will be paid to the candidates for undertaking the summer time research project.
