Around 82% percent candidates appeared for the first exam of Rajasthan Public Service Commission RAS-Mains 2013 which began from Saturday 9 April 2016. The exam was organized at all division headquarters and highest presence was recorded in Jodhpur District. RPSC Rajasthan Administrative Service claimed that the exam was organized peacefully. Candidates who were declared qualified in RAS Preliminary Examination 2013, took RAS RTS Mains Examination 2016.

Rajasthan Public service commission is a state public service commission which is known as RPSC. RPSC is a government body responsible to recruit candidates on various posts for the services at the state level. RPSC conducts RAS exam twice in a year. A number of candidates appear in RAS exam every time. Such candidates are now waiting for application form of RAS 2016.

The first paper was compulsory and exams of optional papers continued till April 12, 2016. This exam has been in controversy as the first Rajasthan Public Service Commission-RAS preliminary exam result was declared in June 2015 and later cancelled as the paper had been leaked.

Rajasthan Public Service Commission again organized RAS preliminary-2013 and declared the result but later on the orders of Rajasthan HC, the Commission released amended result. According to Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), the special flying squad inspected different examination centers. There were 77.33 percent candidates present in Ajmer, 80.71 in Bharatpur, 74.57 in Bikaner, 83.34 in Jaipur, 84.15 in Jodhpur, 83.3 in Kota and 89.26 percent in Udaipur. Around 82% percent candidates sat for the first exam of Rajasthan Public Service Commission RAS-mains 2013 which began from Saturday 9 April 2016 in Rajasthan.
