Admission of 44 students to the MDS programme has been cancelled by the Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University in various dental colleges of the state. The matter has also been brought under the notice of Dental Council of India by the Vice-Chancellor of the university RS Sharma.
MP Medical Science University has also written to the concerned dental colleges regarding the cancellation of the admission of candidates in the MDS programme.
The VC informed that a total of 118 candidates had applied for the MDS programme and 44 of these were granted provisional admission. He added that the dental colleges in question didn’t submit the documents pertaining to the admission of these candidates to the university.
Lack of documents and allotment letters prompted the university to cancel the admissions, Sharma added. He also said that only 19 out of the remaining 74 students have produced their allotment letter and other documents to verify that they have appeared for NEET.
