M.Sc in Sports Nutrition at NIN: Apply by 6th August

National Institute of Nutrition, Hyderabad has started with their application process for admission to M.Sc in Sports Nutrition. The admission to the programme is on the basis of merit and entrance test which is conducted by the Department of Sports Sciences, Ministry of Sports Affair and Sports (MYAS).

M.Sc in Sports Nutrition imparts knowledge and practical skills in the field of sport-specific nutrition. It also assists students in the planning and implementation of sport-specific nutritional support and are equipped with skills to provide support to elite class athletes during national and international events.

M.Sc in Sports Nutrition 2018 Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidates who are to apply for M.Sc in Sports Nutrition must have a B.Sc(Hons.)/ Home Science/ B.Sc (Nutrition)/B.Sc (Nursing)/MBBS/B.Sc (Biochemistry) or must have passed BDS/BAMS/BPT or an equivalent examination with a minimum aggregate of 50%.
• Age Limit: Candidates must not be more than 50 years of age as on December 31, 2018. However, there is a relaxation of three years for SC/ST candidates.

M.Sc in Sports Nutrition 2018 Application Process and Application Fees:

• Candidates can obtain the application form along with the prospectus from the institute itself.
• The duly filled in application form along with the demand draft of Rs.3000 for (SC/ST candidates) and Rs. 2700 for (OC/OBC candidates) has to be drawn in the favour of The Director NIN payable at Hyderabad.

The total number of intake for the programme is 15, out of which 5 seats will be reserved for candidates belonging to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

M.Sc in Sports Nutrition 2018 Selection Procedure:

• The admission to the programme will be on the basis of merit and on the basis of aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.
• In case the number of candidates is more than the intake, the institute will conduct an entrance examination for preparing the merit list.
• The list of the eligible candidates will be uploaded on the official website of the institute.
