The University of Mumbai is again in trouble over delayed results. As per the students of the Mumbai University, the varsity has delayed the winter semester results for the exams that took place in November 2017 and January 2018.
According to students, the university has already planned to re-conduct the examination for students who failed the final examination for the next semester. However, they have been postponed as of now. The fifth-semester exam of B.Com students started from 10 November 2017 and the result for same has not been released yet. This is the reason that the university has planned to postpone the re-examination.
Aditya Jha, final year student from Nirmala Memorial Foundation College of Commerce and Science stated that it has already been five months since the exam took place but the university is unable to declare the results. This will affect our career as the whole academic session will be delayed due to this. Students are planning a protest against the delay of the result on the university’s Kalina Campus.
The main aim behind the protest is to avoid any further delay in the results. The results of around 250 courses have been delayed by the university for around four months. This issue was also discussed in the Legislative Assembly. The Vice-Chancellor of the university also faced a lot of opposition due to his decision of onscreen assessment.
