As per the schedule released by the National Board of Examinations (NBE), the NEET PG 2023 is scheduled to be held on March 5th, 2023. Young doctors who have registered to appear for the exams from around the country are now requesting the postponement of the NEET PG 2023 exams. Aspirants also demand the internship dates be extended till July 31st, 2023 so that all candidates will be eligible for the counselling process to be conducted by the Medical Council Committee (MCC). The aspirants have approached all the authorities regarding the same, yet, no response has been received. Hence, the chances of NEET PG 2023 Postponement are narrow, and candidates are advised to prepare for the upcoming exams.
Candidates have flooded Twitter, and social media platforms requesting the postponement. Dr. Rohan Krishnan, President of the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) has also tweeted that the organisation has also approached the NBE regarding the postponement of NEET PG 2023 exams. He also states that the confirmation of the postponement is low, and candidates shall invest their time in the preparations for the examinations.

NEET MDS may get extension of eligibility same as NEET PG.
The registration window for NEET PG 2023 is currently open and will remain open until January 27, 2023. Since, there is no confirmation on the extension of dates, candidates who are eligible are advised to register for the exams and not wait for an extension of registration dates. If the NEET PG 2023 exam dates are postponed, the registration window is likely to be extended as well. However, until any information is confirmed, candidates shall assume the last date for registration to be January 27th, and NEET PG 2023 Exam Date as March 5, 2023. Also, the internship deadline as specified by the authorities is June 30, 2023.
Considering the previous year's records, it will be possible for an extension of internship dates till July 31st, 2023, and NEET PG 2023 Postponement for 6-8 weeks. However, NBE has stated that it aims to bring the academic calendar back on track pre-covid and the chances for postponement are marginally low. So, it is best that candidates start with their preparations and be well-prepared for the exams.
