The NBE (National Board of Examinations) will conduct NEET-PG 2019 exam again for Jammu & Kashmir medical aspirants who missed the exam due to the hostile weather conditions/ bad weather in the Valley. NEET-PG 2019 was conducted on Sunday, January 06, 2019. Most of the candidates from Srinagar Valley who chose an exam centre in Jammu were unable to travel to the exam centre due to complete blockage of air and road transport. The weather conditions in Srinagar Valley were extreme, as the temperature had gone below the freezing point.
Considering the bad weather conditions in the Valley, NBE consulted Union Health Ministry and MCI (Medical Council of India) seeking approval for conducting NEET-PG 2019 for students who missed the exam due to extreme weather conditions. After holding discussions, MCI and Health Ministry have given their nod for re-conduct of NEET-PG 2019. The official date, venue, and time of the exam shall be informed to candidates soon.
On January 06, 2019, NEET-PG 2019 was conducted in 165 cities. This year, almost 1,48,000 candidates appeared for the national-level PG medical entrance test. The exam was conducted in CBT (Computer-based Test) mode in a single session.
Despite NBE’s attempts to arrange several exam centres in Jammu & Kashmir, many students were unable to reach the centres due to bad weather conditions. Only the candidates who missed the exam in Jammu & Kashmir due to bad weather shall be allowed to appear for NEET-PG 2019 re-exam.
