NEET UG 2022 Postponement: Coming in support of the students, a well-known activist lawyer, Anubha Sahai, said that the postponement of NEET UG 2022 examination must happen because the reasons stated by the students are very logical. She also said that considering the delay in the counselling of NEET 2021 alone, the NEET UG examination scheduled for July 17 should be pushed further ahead.
“NEET UG 2021 counselling has been delayed, and is still ongoing in some states. Given this, the counselling for NEET UG July 2022 exam will be delayed as well and the entire academic session will be pushed further anyway,” Sahai said. “Neither we have the infrastructure nor the wherewithal to run two concurrent batches so if everything is delayed, why not delay the July 2022 exam as well? This will allow students more time to prepare.”
Students have been using Twitter as their platform of choice to demand NEET UG 2022 Postponement for many, as put by Sahai, logical reasons. Candidates may check the top postponement reasons here: Why NEET UG 2022 should be postponed?
Quoting the increasing demands of students to postpone the exam on Twitter, Sahai called it a good sign, saying, “These demands from students to either cancel or delay the examination, especially at such a scale, is something we have not witnessed before,” she continued. “Students approach us many times for such cases and depending on the situation, we either counsel them if their demand is invalid or take their demand forward if otherwise.”
“When we are explained the situation by the students with proper reasoning, it is a learning experience for the team as well and many times we realize that the students, at their place, are correct,” she continued. “So students taking a ground, a platform for themselves and their valid demands is a good thing.”
“However, these demands by the students will only gain weight if it attracts political traction. It is expected that these education and health issues will soon gain electoral weight,” Sahai further added. However, the final say in the matter will remain to be of the court.
