With the new Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University, Hyderabad taking charge, a lot of initiatives are expected to be taken as accounted in a recent meeting. Arvind Kumar; the new VC at OU has unveiled many unresolved ongoing issues in this 100-year-old university that require wise eye solutions. In order to subdue those issues, he has proposed plans to collaborate with multiple firms in the industry.
The main collaboration is expected to be done with Startup incubator T-Hub of Hyderabad, which is famous for being India’s fastest growing start-up engine. Kumar’s motive behind this big initiative is to build and boost placement and internship opportunities for the students studying at the University. He also plans to encourage the use of Information Technology (IT) so that the best possible global resources can be mustered for the students in the university.
There are many maintenance-related issues also that Kumar brought to the forefront. He has proposed to help the administration in the best possible manner in order to maintain the landscaping and cleanliness on the university campus. His focus will also be on the shortage of adequate faculty and a need for improving the university infrastructure.
His experience comes with the awareness of other areas that can be explored in the education industry. Coaching students for entry in Civil Services or cracking examinations like GRE, TOEFL, IELTS, etc. would also be beneficiary for students, he believes. He asked the faculty members to give their inputs on the same.
The entry of new Vice-Chancellor in Osmania University has brought in many new ideas and initiatives, which are expected to benefit the students, teachers and other staff members in multiple ways.
