Chief Minister of Maharashtra inaugurated the new and improved Nagpur campus of Symbiosis hoping that this will help in making Nagpur an education hub. Symbiosis University had started its first academic session recently with students from at least 15 countries.
Symbiosis spreads its wings to Nagpur which is the brand new campus of Symbiosis. On Sunday, the Nagpur campus was inaugurated by Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
During the inauguration, he said that Nagpur will grow gradually after it becomes an educational hub and the new campus of Symbiosis is one step towards becoming that. He also added that educational institutions create human resources which help to start development in a region. The Chief Minister hopes that Nagpur will follow the same path as Pune and will flourish.

The Nagpur campus of symbiosis spreads over 75 acres. The Symbiosis Nagpur campus started its first academic session from this year. Students from many countries and states across India got admitted in courses like law, design, business management, etc.
Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister said that many students from Vidarbha shifts to Pune for education and job purpose. Thus, a campus in Nagpur may help to control that migration rate. He also added that the government charged Rs 1 for the lease of land for 30 years as Symbiosis made an agreement to reserve 25% seats for Vidarbha and Nagpur candidates and also offer them 15% free concession.
The Chief Minister and the Union Minister requested the management team of Symbiosis to start a new course in avionics and logistics so that Nagpur becomes an aviation hub. To this the founder and chancellor of Symbiosis, S B Majumdar said that the courses on aviation will begin from the next academic session.

The government will also set up 10 medical devices manufacturing park from the next academic year.
