Edureka, an e-learning platform, announced on 11th June 2019, Tuesday, that it has entered into an alliance with the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela. Located in the state of Odisha, NIT Rourkela has signed up for this partnership for preparing the future workforce in the field of Big Data engineering.
As a part of the collaboration, NIT Rourkela will be offering a postgraduate programme in Big Data engineering. The institute will also be sharing its research and expertise with the whole world with the help of the live and online training platform of Edureka.
Edureka spoke about the partnership and said that it will be providing scholarships up to an amount of Rs. 1,50,000 for selecting learners of the course. The selection will be done on the basis of the results of a scholarship test.
The Director of NIT Rourkela, Animesh Biswas, gave a statement in which he said that it is the mission of everyone at the institute to advance and spread knowledge in all the areas of science and technology. This will lead towards creating wealth and welfare of humanity.
Mr. Biswas further used a metaphor and said that if we consider Data to be the oil of the 21st century, then Big Data is undoubtedly the aviation fuel. He expressed his delight on NIT Rourkela joining hands with Edureka and claimed that these two units will work together for fulfilling the never-ending demand of industries for Big Data.
The curriculum of the programme will be designed to nurture learners and beginners into experts of Big Data Engineering via exposure to practical projects, rigorous training, opportunities to network with industry veterans, placements assistance, etc.
