NTA is expected to conduct DAVV CET 2020. NTA has sought approval for MHRD for conducting the entrance exam.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is likely to conduct the Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission in various courses offered by DAVV (Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya). The agency is still waiting for approval from MHRD (Ministry of Human Resources and Development). An online entrance exam is conducted for admission in DAVV if MHRD grants approval for DAVV CET 2020. NTA is seeking permission from MHRD, as the entrance exam of DAVV is conducted on a smaller scale as compared to the other entrance exams conducted by NTA.
It has already been more than 15 days since varsity wrote to NTA for conducting the entrance exam. However, NTA will revert only after seeking approval from the MHRD. One of the officials of the varsity confirmed that they are in constant touch with NTA, and an official reply from the same is expected by the first week of March.
DAVV is expecting a positive reply from NTA. If NTA is going to conduct DAVV CET 2020, all that the varsity need to do is just provide the course details, exam pattern and the total number of questions. The question papers for the entrance exam will be prepared by NTA, and the varsity will be exempted from the same.

DAVV is planning to rely on NTA to avoid any irregularities in conducting the exam. Recently, the varsity conducted DET (Doctoral Entrance Test) for Ph.D. admissions and received criticism for not following Ordinance 14. The varsity does not want to rely on a private agency for conducting the entrance exam. If NTA does not give approval for the DAVV CET 2020, the varsity may approach MP Online for the same.
